No more second chances, no more waiting in the rain,
I gave you my heart—you let it break again.
I gave you my heart and my all,
Yet you seem to have forgotten, nor recall.
Did my love ever weigh on your soul?
Or was it just a fleeting role?
You once held me close, whispered my name,
Yet left me drowning in your silent game.
Yesterday, you left and closed the door without a word,
No glance, no pause—just footsteps blurred.
Did not even look back, I felt cast off,
Like a whisper lost in the coldest frost.
Then you came home without a sound,
No glance, no voice, no arms unbound.
The walls heard more than I ever could,
Loneliness settled where love once stood.
As we lay in bed, your back turned,
Quietly my tears flowed, my heart churned.
The night held secrets you refused to see,
A drifted love unravelling inside of me.
I counted the cracks, the spaces in between,
All the moments lost, the words unseen.
Hope betrayed like a whisper—fading, thin,
Yet I held it close, afraid to give in.
Tonight, I whispered a prayer to let you go,
Inside of me, the pain is one hard blow.
Freeing you shatters me in pieces,
But I know you have given someone else your heart and kisses.
So, I breathe and sighed as I closed my eyes,
Letting go beneath empty and vacant skies.
No more holding, no more hoping, no more pain,
As love once lived, once cherished – but won’t remain.
