In the haze and fog of a weary mind,
Where thoughts are blocked and tangled, hard to find,
A beacon shines like a light bulb through the dreary night,
Golden arches and glided bows, become a welcome sight.
With every step and every pause, the day feels long,
Yet comfort comes with a welcome treat, finding solace where I belong.
In the cozy place and the warmth of a familiar taste,
The world slows down as time ceases, there’s no more haste.
A bite of joy and the savoury smell, in wrapping cradled,
Melts away the stress and every muscle soften – so fleeting, fabled.
A simple meal and a brief chance – a hearty cheer,
In moments small, even in little instants – where I can conquer worry and fear.
